New Zealand is launching a new hotline where people can call to get access to medical abortion pills.
Over the phone abortion services are not unique to New Zealand. The Guardian states that these have been offered in Columbia and Britain since the Covid-19 pandemic, and have now become a permanent practice in Britain.
It appears that accessing an early abortion in New Zealand will be as convenient as ordering fast food. Rather than preventative measures, such as abstinence or contraception, abortion is becoming the culturally accepted norm.
